Labor Day BashOn Saturday, September 2, 2017, ColoVista Golf Club is hosting a Labor Day Bash with a golf tournament, concert and BBQ dinner. The golf tournament  will be a blind draw shamble with a select drive. Fees start at $50 for members and it will be $65 for non-members. The fee includes entry fee, green/cart fee, range balls, BBQ and a concert ticket for the evening show. The tournament will include cash prizes as well.

At 6:30 that event, the James Soto Band will perform. Tickets for the concert are $25 for adults and $15 for kids. The concert will include a BBQ plate and the pool will be open.

Come out and enjoy one of the last days of summer with a full day of fun.

Boogie Back to BastropThis weekend you should definitely make plans to Boogie Back to Bastrop! Friday and Saturday from 1:00 to 11:0 p.m., the City of Bastrop Convention and Exhibit Center will host Boogie Back to Bastrop-Western Swing Festival.

Friday will feature Frank Cavitt and the Honky Tonk Doctors and Jeff Woolsey and the Dancehall Kings. Saturday will include Doug Boggs and the Cowboy Jazz Band and the Rocky King Band. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the event. Tickets are available online now and can be purchased at the door for cash only as long as tickets are still available.

Different parts of the United States will experience various levels of the eclipse up to and including totality in several locations. Bastrop and the surrounding areas are expecting an eclipse of around 75% and this is a great opportunity to learn more about solar eclipses and to experience this once in a lifetime event.

Summer is winding down and Movies in the Park is the perfect activity to gather with your friends for some end of summer fun. On Saturday, August 12, enjoy a recent blockbuster with an outdoor screening of Moana The movie will begin at dusk, somewhere around 8 or 8:30.
