On Friday night, downtown Bastrop hosts the monthly First Friday Art Walk. The art walk takes place from 5:30-8:30 and includes multiple galleries with all varieties of art as well as live music, dining and shopping. During the Art Walk, the Bastrop Museum & Visitor Center will be open for you to enjoy their current special exhibit, Bastrop: Then & Now. This exhibit focuses on the personal stories of local residents that were interviewed by students at the Colorado River Collegiate Academy, the early college high school program of the Bastrop Independent School District.
