Lost Pines Plant and Book saleThe Lost Pines Garden Club will hold their annual plant and book sale event this weekend on March 29 and 30. The event will take place from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. on Friday and 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. on Saturday. This event will be held at the Bastrop Public Library on Church Street.

A silent auction and quilt raffle will be part of the event as well. At the plant sale, you can expect to find Bastrop hardy perennials, shrubs, succulents and vegetable starts. The book sale will include books of all kinds.

All proceeds from the event will go to the Bastrop Public Library’s summer children’s program. Make plans to come out to support this fun event and invite a friend or two to make it even more successful.

Bastrop State ParkThis weekend Bastrop State Park will host two fun activities that will let you better get to know the park and have lots of fun while you are visiting.

Start on Friday, March 22 with the Lost Pines Scavenger Hunt. Stop by the park Headquarters between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to pick up the scavenger hunt list. You have until 3:30 on Saturday, March 23 to find everything on the list and snap a picture of it. Meet at the playground at 3:30 on Saturday to turn share your discoveries. You will win a prize if you find everything on the scavenger hunt.
