Bastrop County Food Truck Festival The first annual Bastrop County Food Truck Festival will take place on Saturday, May 25th all day at Community Gardens. The event will have something for everyone including lots of food options, kids activities, face painting, a full bar, music and local retailers.

Come for lunch or an early dinner and taste your way through the food options and hang out to enjoy the day. Local vendors will be on site as well with great options for you to shop and enjoy throughout the day.

Bastrop Music FestivalThe second annual Bastrop Music Festival will take place Thursday, May 16-Sunday, May 19 at various Bastrop venues. A wide variety of music will take place each day so you can map out a full weekend of fun jamming to all your favorites. Use this schedule to plan your music-filled weekend. You may purchase a wristband for $40 that includes entry to all of the shows. Individual tickets for each venue will be sold at the door if space allows.

In addition to the paid festival options, there will be free shows at Copper Shot Distillery, Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa and the Bastrop County Museum and Visitor’s Center throughout the weekend. Crawfish BoilWarm weather brings lots of outdoor events for you to enjoy and Saturday, May 11th is no exception. Start your day with the 15th Annual Smithville Fly-In. The event will run from 10-2 and is free to the public. Enjoy viewing vintage World War II aircraft, enter a raffle for a chance to win a plane ride or purchase a plane ride. Food trucks will also be onsite for you to purchase from. Memorabilia and commerative Air Force items will be available for purchase too.

After the Fly-In, head to the All you Can Eat Crawfish Boil at the American Legion Post 533. This event runs from 1-7 and tickets are $15 per person. The event includes live music and all proceeds will go to the Veteran Relief Fund.
