Bastrop Patriotic FestivalFood, fireworks and more fun than you can imagine will make up the Bastrop Patriotic Festival on Saturday, June 29th. Start the day with 1K fun run or Red, White and Blue 5K. Other events will kick off beginning at 9:00 a.m. and the day is packed with activities.

Just a few of the activities you can choose to enjoy are Kiddie Train Rides, a Colorado River Alliance Mobile River Exhibit, sand volleyball, knockerball and water wonderland. Water Wonderland will sell wristbands for all day access to multiple water slides. The afternoon will start the food eating contests including pie, hot peppers, frozen yogurt and hot dogs. That’s not all. The day will conclude with live music and a patriotic fireworks display scheduled to begin at 9:15.

Western DaysThe 50th Annual Western Days will take place through Saturday, June 22 with lots of fun activities for you to enjoy.

Beginning on Thursday and running through Sunday, the carnival will take place at Memorial Park parking from Thursday-Saturday. The carnival will run from 6:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 10:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m. on Saturday. You can ride all you want Thursday evening when you purchase a $20 wristband. On Friday evening, there will be a free dance in the park pavilion from 8 p.m.-midnight sponsored by the Elgin Chamber of Commerce.

Start your day at the Blue Flame Cruisers Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show. The show will run frm 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at Schulman Theatres in Bastrop. Take in hot rods, classic cars, vintage trucks, motorcycles and more at the show. You will also enjoy food vendors, kid’s activities door prizes and more.

Sounds of Smithville will take place from 9:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. with four shows in four different locations. Enjoy local musicians for free while you have a drink or shop.
