Come out to Boots, BBQ & Casino for CASA at the Bastrop Convention Center on Saturday, June 10 between 5 and 11 p.m. Proceeds of the event will benefit CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) in Bastrop, Fayette & Lee Counties.

Advance tickets for the event are $50 for an individual and $90 for a couple. The tickets include BBQ dinner, beverages and $5,000 worth of chips.

CASA advocates for safe, permanent homes for children that have been removed from their homes for various reasons.

Historic Downtown Bastrop hosts an art walk on the first Friday of each month. The event is a monthly showcase and collection of galleries, artists, restaurants, shops and small businesses in Downtown Bastrop.

The event features art, live music, dining shopping and lots of fun. This month’s event will take place on Friday, June 2 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. A variety of art including bronzes, sculptures, paintings, mosaics and photography are part of the art walk.

The First Friday Art Walk began in 2011 and now and has grown to include 15 locations including five galleries and 10 other venues.
