The Hyatt is a resort destination along the banks of the Colorado River and boasts a championship 18 holes golf course called Wolfdancer Golf Club. It is located on 405 acres and offers its guests river, nature and family friendly activities including horseback riding. |
With increased development have come new services for Cedar Creek residents, including a new high school west of Bastrop that is currently under construction, in addition to the elementary, intermediate and middle schools currently located there. Also under construction is the new athletic stadium which will be shared by all schools in the Bastrop Independent School District.
The Cedar Creek community is also currently developing a county park, and while residents are enjoying these new developments, they have always had access to McKinney Roughs, a Lower Colorado River Authority nature park. McKinney Roughs features over 1,000 acres of canyons, meadows and river bends that support a diverse wildlife population. McKinney Roughs is a terrific place to enjoy 18 miles of trails to further explore the beauty of this area by foot or horseback, and even take a guided tour along the river.
